Attendance: Heidi Marckx, Kezia Musolff, Rob Jaworski, Sam Zupon, Steph Swan
Old Business:
  • Raffle Ticket Money-all has been collected
New Business:
  • 2023 Tournament Concessions
    •  Fillies were profitable this year. Positive feedback from teams & parents. Request extra blank raffle tickets next year to replace any not turned in. Designate one person for grilling for concession time slots. Change to regular hotdogs next year, no oranges or apples, more bananas. Donuts, stickers and bracelets went well. Evaluate serving size of taco meat for next year and cook our own. Start 17U games earlier on Friday.
    • Grill was purchased with funds for tournament.
  • 2023 Tournament Rules
    • Tomahawk 14u Game; rules were not clear on sliding. Who is eligible/listed on roster. Board will review our rules for all age brackets to ensure they are clear and concise as well as the 5 run rule.
  • Reach out to parks department to get quote and start process for extending backstops at Saratoga. Involve baseball and mens league.
  • Need to inventory, sort and purchase new equipment at all levels as well as an adult umpire set. Label each age bracket bag.
  • Create general guidelines/’what to teach’ for each age bracket to assist coaches.
  • Open registration early for Fillies to get tournaments locked in early. Consider: Wausau, Seymour, Waupaca, Merrill. Look to coaches for input.
    • Fillies close 12/31
    • City close 3/15/23
    • Then waitlist as necessary, pending coach availability.
  • Update handbook and add to online registration.
  • City League: jersey collection & inventory. Move to tshirts next year to keep, including coaches.
  • Review 14u game set up. Consider 7 inning game versus 2 5-inning games. 1hr 40 min time limit.
  • Set up coach meeting to review previous season and gather input for new season.
  • Early practice-figure out space availability to start as early as possible, open to city and travel, stations for skills, position try-out. We have to have coach participation to make it work.
  • Coach background checks for new season.
  • Purchase totes for concession & jersey storage.
  • Board Positions:
    • Heidi-continuing President position
    • Kezia-stepping out as VP
    • Rob-continuing as treasurer
    • Sam-continuing as secretary
    • Steph-elected as VP
    • Review positions we need to add to the board: parent reps for each bracket, social media? Update and add to position descriptions.
